I've always seen the world as though I were looking at it through a camera, focusing on details or color and shape in my mind, and freezing moments that were special and dear to me. As a kid, the plastic viewfinder of my Kodak Instamatic seemed a natural way to frame my experiences and share them with others. Later, studying film and working in television revealed the power of using images to tell stories. And that's what I do today; tell stories of blossoming love, deep family connection, and momentous occasions though images framed in my minds eye.

A New Wedding Planning Resource

There are a number of wedding resource sites out there. I know, as I get spam from them every day. But I’m pleased to be associated with one of the newest, my Kate Parker Wedding. For me, its authentic New England focus makes this site a gem. Kate is one of New England’s most recognized wedding planners/event designers, and she has taken the experience she gained working with couple, combined it with her knowledge of the area’s finest vendors, and created a site to inspire couples planning their own weddings.

Bat Mitzvah Preview – Charles Hotel – 2 of 2

Bat Mitzvah Preview – Temple Isaiah – 1 of 2

I had the privilege of shooting Hannah’s recent Bat Mitzvah at Temple Isaiah of Lexington. We met in the morning before her ceremony for a few portraits, and the party took place that evening at the Charles hotel in Cambridge. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Hannah’s family and friends, and witnessing the love in the room – especially at the party.

That party was off the hook! The Charles’s ballroom was awash in vivid pinks and blues designed by Janie Haas Event Consulting, who designed and coordinated the event. Northern Lights Entertainment rocked the party with a DJ, MC, and dynamic hip-hop dancers who kept both kids and adults moving to the beat, at least when they weren’t enjoying the games.
