Earl Christie Photography bio picture

Thanks for checking out my blog

I've always seen the world as though I were looking at it through a camera, focusing on details or color and shape in my mind, and freezing moments that were special and dear to me. As a kid, the plastic viewfinder of my Kodak Instamatic seemed a natural way to frame my experiences and share them with others. Later, studying film and working in television revealed the power of using images to tell stories. And that's what I do today; tell stories of blossoming love, deep family connection, and momentous occasions though images framed in my minds eye.

If the work on my blog appeals to you, and think you might like to have me tell the story of your day, click the 'contact' menu above to let me know.

Thanks.

earl.

Fun with Hats

This past weekend I shot some cool hats with my good friend Rachel and some new friends, photographer Naf Visser and makeup artist Michelle Poor. Rach makes any hat look good… even the invisible one in the image below.

Valentines Fun

Boston Wedding Photographer

Every couple of months, ShootStyle, an association of New England wedding photographers I belong to runs an assignment series asking photographers to creatively illustrate a concept. In honor of valentine’s day, the most recent assignment was to illustrate the concept of ‘Done Me Wrong.” Thanks to my wife for playing along!

Sadly, after shooting she went away for a few days and when she returned, the oversized box of candy used as the prop was more the half gone. She had to throw out the rest to save me from myself!

Crane Estate Wedding Featured Today

Crane Estate Wedding

The wedding of Samantha and Brian is being featured today as a real wedding over at the Beantown Bride blog. They are one my favorite couples ever! Who else do you know who would have have been inspired by a zombie film to dance their first dance to Queen’s Your My Best Friend? Author Andrea E. McHugh did a great job telling the story of their wedding.

As a boston wedding photographer I’m doubly lucky as I to get to attend the weddings of wonderful folks like Samantha and Brian and shoot in beautiful places like the Crane Estate in Ipswich.
