Earl Christie Photography bio picture

Thanks for checking out my blog

I've always seen the world as though I were looking at it through a camera, focusing on details or color and shape in my mind, and freezing moments that were special and dear to me. As a kid, the plastic viewfinder of my Kodak Instamatic seemed a natural way to frame my experiences and share them with others. Later, studying film and working in television revealed the power of using images to tell stories. And that's what I do today; tell stories of blossoming love, deep family connection, and momentous occasions though images framed in my minds eye.

If the work on my blog appeals to you, and think you might like to have me tell the story of your day, click the 'contact' menu above to let me know.

Thanks.

Award Winning Album 2010

As I mentioned in my last post, this past weekend, the Professional Photographers of Massachusetts held their annual convention and print competition. I’m a happy to announce that my album “Our Fantabulous Wedding” won the Fuji Masterpiece Award in the album competition. This is the second year in a row that the Fuji Masterpiece Award was presented to one of my albums.  Big thanks to Maine Wedding Photographer Andree Kehn who helped me shoot this wedding, and to Suzanne and Rick for being such a fun-loving couple.

Blue Ribbon Album 2010

Blue Ribbon Album

This past weekend, the Professional Photographers of Massachusetts held their annual convention and print competition. Many of the best photographers in the state submitted prints and albums into the competition and it was inspiring seeing all of their great work. I’m lucky to have done pretty well with the albums I entered, and I’ll have more news on my results over the coming days.

Right now I’m a happy to announce that my album Vineyard Heaven scored a Blue Ribbon in the album competition. Big thanks to Cory Ann Ellis who shot with me that day, and to Jee and Joe for having such a beautiful wedding.

Fun with Hats

This past weekend I shot some cool hats with my good friend Rachel and some new friends, photographer Naf Visser and makeup artist Michelle Poor. Rach makes any hat look good… even the invisible one in the image below.
