Jacque & JJ’s Irish Backyard Wedding

If your backyard is big enough, there’s nothing cozier than a wedding at home. That’s how Jacque and JJ decided to roll with their wedding, and luckily Jacque’s backyard is spacious enough to accommodate a tent that seats 250 guests. They both got ready in Milton, Jacque’s at home and JJ at a friend’s house.

At 2pm it was off to St. Elizabeth’s Church.

Is there a more stylish way to leave the church than in a baby blue vintage Camaro? I think not!

Jacque filled the wedding with lots of cool details like Rolodex style sign-in book, river stones on the cocktail tables, and Polaroid cameras for the guests to use and fill a photo wall as the night progressed.

At the reception, Jacque’s father led off the toasts.

While the guests were eating we took a few minutes to shoot some portraits around the house.

The next couple of photos below are some of many great images taken by Massachusetts wedding photographer Jamison Wexler, who acted as my second photographer for the day.

Check out this towering cake by Sweet Tooth Boston.

Jacque and JJ are both Irish and there were many Irish guests at the wedding. Between the band’s sets they had Irish musicians take the stage and play for some traditional Irish dancing.

Congratulations again, Jacque and JJ!
